The Bolton Cat Sitter

If you’re looking for a reliable, professional cat sitter in Bolton, you’re in the right place.

I’m Michael, and I live in Lostock. Cats have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, my parents bred Birmans, and my two brothers and I would frequently find a kitten hiding in our school bags! Having cats around for as long as I can remember means caring for them has always been second nature to me. Today, I share my home with two Maine Coons (and business partners): TARS, named after the robot from my favourite film Interstellar, and Cosmos, named after the vast space we are all floating in and Carl Sagan’s wonderful Cosmos series.

I set up this service because I truly believe cats are happiest in their own familiar surroundings. Moving a cat to a cattery or an unfamiliar home can be incredibly stressful for them. My goal is to keep your cat's routine as normal and peaceful as possible while you are away.

I provide a fully personal, one-to-one service. There is no team and no other sitters—every single visit is carried out by me. Every visit is tailored entirely to your cat’s unique personality and needs, whether they require quiet company, gentle reassurance, high-energy play, or simply the comfort of knowing someone is looking after them. Alongside feeding and litter tray maintenance, I make sure your cat gets genuine attention and affection, and I will always send you updates so you can relax knowing they are settled.

Over the years, I have cared for a wide range of felines. This includes confident and playful characters, nervous or reserved souls, rescue cats who need extra patience, and multi-cat households where careful observation matters. Every cat is different, and I always adapt my approach to suit them.

For your total peace of mind, I am fully insured through Protectivity, Pet First Aid & CPD Certified, and DBS checked. You can feel completely confident that both your cat and your home are in safe, professional hands.
